NYC: Day 2

August 7, 2009

I am never going to find the time to detail my trip. But I’ve got to write it down because we found some great stuff to do, so in quick format – Day 2:

It was raining so we headed over to The Edison Hotel (where I stayed my last trip) and had breakfast in the diner. Best Diner in the city, if you ask me.

Bought an umbrella in The Edison’s gift shop.

Then we headed over to Rockefeller Center.

Same street fair that was on Broadway on Day #1 had moved to The Avenue of The Americas on Sunday.

Shopping in the Rockefeller Center is pretty lame. It was a nice escape from the wet streets but there really isn’t too much in there.  We spent a little time in the NBC Experience store. That’s okay.

Rockefeller Center is gorgeous. Dark stone and brass. Beautiful!

chelsea_marketChelsea Market was definitely more shopping fun. 75 9th Avenue (Between 15th and 16th Streets). Great food market.

We strolled over to a little diner in Chelsea. Wish I could remember the name of it. Grabbed a beer and shared a quesadilla.

(45th St. and 9th Ave)

Then we strolled through Times Square again and headed back to our hotel to crash.

I don’t think I’ve ever slept so well while on vacation before. We done wore ourselves out.

(Collectible Sue #1 – let me know if I missed anything)

haha I had some friends over to swim in my pool a couple of weeks ago – same size pool. Didn’t think we would swim but we did because it was over 100 in Washington state.
