Self-Imposed Dog Lockdown

April 22, 2010

Just sitting around today, waiting for shit to happen.

I’m entertaining myself right now by reading blogs and listening to the occasional “woof” from Stella Mirra, Retrieved Golden, who has – once again – trapped herself in Thing 2’s bedroom.

The bedroom with the door that is open a good six inches wider than the dog. She let herself into the room, not touching the door or the door frame. She does this all the time. After she’s had her smell of teenage boy, she turns to leave, only to find that the angle of the door looks different from the inside than it did from the outside. What with the door pointing at her, which it didn’t when she was entering.

She’s awfully cute but she’s not awfully bright.

I suppose I should go and let her out so she can be in my way all day.

I saw the title on my feed and thought “oh what did Stella do now?” LOL
We accidentally locked Sookie in the office for 4 hours the other day. When I opened the door she was napping in the chair and looked up and yawned like she never knew she was trapped.

Aren’t animals crazy? Our cat will not come up from the basement unless the door is wide open. She’ll sit on the top step and meow until one of us come and open the door for her. Crazy!

Whoa, that does seem extraordinarily dumb for a dog! Good thing retrievers are so lovable.
I found a good webpage today, lots of interesting stuff there; in case you run out of blogs …

What a great tattoo that would make!
