Mother’s Day Presents

May 11, 2010

The Big Nugget has a nephew who is an artist. And about 10 years ago, he commissioned his nephew to do charcoal drawings of the boys. So the 4 of them headed out for a photo session so that the nephew could do his drawings from the photos.

We got them and they were really cool. But not frameable because of the 2 pieces of paper he used to draw them on. They were overlapped in a corner and about 5 feet tall.  Really weird. But hey, he’s an artist, right?

So the drawings sat in a closet, rolled, and unframeable.

Imagine my surprise when I was given these for Mother’s Day:

I cried.

I cried even more when the Big Nugget told me about how he took them apart and finished in the uncharcoaled, overlapped spaces  himself. At the office. You can’t tell where his nephew stopped and the Big Nugget began.

I love him so much.

Now I’m crying too. Big Nugget is one of the best. Nice to hear about wonderful men treating their wives the way they should be treated.
